These terms cover your use of RollRoom at rollroom.nyc and the RollRoom gym profiles. By using RollRoom, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
What RollRoom is
RollRoom is a jiu-jitsu gym discovery service. Each Verified profile carries RollRoom’s editorial judgment — “The Take” and an honest “Not for you if” — alongside information the gym provides and keeps current. RollRoom verifies that a Verified Gym’s profile meets our standard; it is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of any gym, instructor, or class.
Gym profiles and verification
- Gyms are responsible for the accuracy of the information on their own profile — schedule, instructors, pricing, and drop-in terms.
- “The Take” and other editorial content are RollRoom’s opinion.
- Verification confirms a profile meets RollRoom’s standard at the time it’s reviewed. Details can change; confirm specifics (schedule, price, drop-in policy) with the gym before you travel.
Using RollRoom
You agree to use RollRoom lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by scraping at scale, interfering with the service, submitting false gym information, or infringing others’ rights.
Content and intellectual property
The RollRoom name, mark, editorial content, and site design belong to RollRoom. Gyms retain rights to the material they submit and grant RollRoom permission to display it as part of their profile.
The information is provided “as is”
RollRoom aims to be accurate and honest, but profiles and reviews are provided without warranties of any kind. Jiu-jitsu involves physical risk; RollRoom is a discovery tool, not a party to your relationship with any gym, and is not responsible for your training or any injury.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RollRoom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or reliance on any profile.
Changes
We may update these terms as RollRoom grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
